In Wieden you can find the famous Belvedere (Italian for „Beautiful View“), it’s just a few minute walk from Sommerhotel Wieden.
Upper Belvedere is also well known as the place where the Austrian State Treaty was signed in 1955 to re-established Austria as a sovereign state.

"The Kiss" on the way to its new place at Upper Belvedere!

 

In February 2018 the famous painting „The Kiss“ from Gustav Klimt moved into the upper Belvedere.

You have to visit St. Charles Church (Karlskirche at Karlsplatz). It has some impressive architecture and is close to the first district „Innere Stadt“.
